The kind that everybody loves, of course! Colgate My Bright Smile™ Global Art Contest is the annual worldwide art contest for children, whose creative and colorful artworks will get a chance to be featured in Colgate My Bright Smile™ Global Calendar 2019!

Colgate-Palmolive invites children between the ages of 6 and 9 from classrooms all over the world as part of its Bright Smiles, Bright Futures™ global oral health education program to show everyone ‘Why my bright smile is important’.
Just sit your children and students down, get them brainstorming for ideas and let the colors take over their creativity!

Country winners receive attractive prizes and an opportunity to participate in Colgate My Bright Smile™ Global Art Contest 2018-2019, while Global winners receive a Colgate-Palmolive Bright Smiles, Bright Futures™ scholarship of $250 US and inclusion in Colgate My Bright Smile™ Global Calendar 2019. That’s not all! Schools of the global winners also receive classroom grants of $500 US and recognition in Colgate My Bright Smile™ Global Calendar 2019.

RULES FOR
THE CONTEST...

  • The contest is exclusively for little artists from ages 6 to 9.
  • Employees of Colgate-Palmolive and their promotion and/or fulfilment agencies and their immediate family members are not eligible.
  • Artworks must be original, created by the little artists themselves, without assistance from others.
  • No tracing or computer-generated graphics!
  • Each entry must include a completed entry form and be mailed to the address on the form.
  • Entries must be mailed flat or in mailing tubes.
  • Entries should be a minimum of 8 ½ x 11 inches and cannot exceed 11 x 17 inches.
  • Entries will be judged on originality, creative imagination and best rendering of the theme “Why my bright smile is important”.

Who may enter?

• The contest is open to children aged 6-9.
• Employees of Colgate-Palmolive Company, their promotion and/or fulfillment agencies and immediate family members of those employees are not eligible.

Must artwork be original?

• Artwork must be original and hand drawn, created by the student without assistance from others.
• Artwork cannot be copied or traced from a book or any other material.
• Photos and computer-generated graphics will be disqualified.

What type of entry is acceptable?

The entries submitted should depict the theme:
"Why My Bright Smile is Important"

What mediums of art can be used to create artwork?

• The entry submitted can be in color or black and white.
• Line drawings, crayons, paints, regular or colored pencils, acrylic pastels, magic markers, ink or a combination of different mediums can be used to create the artwork.

How should the entries be submitted?

• Each entry must be attached to the completed entry form and mailed to the address on the title form.
• The entry form can be photocopied.
• If entry has non-English captions or text, please provide translations on entry form.
• Entries should be mailed flat or in mailing tubes.
• Entries must be received no later than April 30, 2018.

* Colgate-Palmolive Company is not responsible for lost, late, damaged, postage due or misdirected mail.

What size should the entry be?

Entries should be a minimum of 8½ x 11 inches and cannot exceed 11 x 17 inches.

Will entries be returned?

• No, entries are not returned once received.
• All entries become the sole property of Colgate-Palmolive Company, once received.

How will the entries be judged?

• Entries will be judged on originality, creative imagination and the best rendering of the theme "Why My Bright Smile is Important”.
• The decisions of the judges are final and binding.
• Judges include representatives from Colgate-Palmolive Company and its education agency.

What are the prizes?

• Every year Colgate My Bright Smile™ Global Art Contest selects 12 global winners.
• Global winners receive Colgate-Palmolive Bright Smiles, Bright Futures® Scholarship of $250 US and their schools receive classroom grants of $500 US.
• All the winning entries are featured in Colgate My Bright Smile™ Global Calendar.
• Each child that enters, receives My Bright Smile™ certificate.

*Winning artworks, photographs and personal biographical information of regional and international winners are utilized in traveling displays, advertising and publicity through a variety of media which includes print, video and/or electronic.

What are the requirements to enter?

• By completing the entry form, entrants agree to the reproduction, use, display and exhibition of their artwork in My Bright SmileTM Global Calendar and traveling exhibit.
• Entrants must agree to the use of their name, photograph, likeness and personal information in advertising, promotional and publicity materials in the final calendar for global distribution.

What is the timetable?

• Contest begins: February 15, 2018
• Entry deadline: April 30, 2018
